In the New Car research section I told you to go to Yahoo! Autos and get your 4 FREE prices quotes and check the rebates and special financing incentives. This is the most up to date and accurate information on Rebates and Incentives. Gather and print this information for your trip to the dealer. Pay close attention to the fine print such as models, trim levels, dates, credit requirements, etc.

There is other money available at times depending on many items and the manufacturer. This money sometimes called Dealer Cash is not usually show on the  manufacturer websites. (it is Dealer Cash not Customer Cash, but dealers use it as customer cash)

***That is why I recommend that you go to Yahoo! Autos before you leave home and get 4 FREE - No Obligation Price Quotes. You can get 4 quotes from local dealers that are VERY COMPETITIVE. I have seen at least one of the 4 quotes below invoice in every case. Go There NOW by clicking here-Yahoo! Autos and save yourself the time, money and grief.***

I can tell you that we have sold many a vehicle that the customer had no idea that there were any Reabtes, Incentives or Special Financing. Most dealers will inform you of the rebate or incentives in the Finance Office after the negotiating is over and you are doing paperwork, they will say that it was included. But there are some dealers that will not tell you. Some manufacturers are requiring paperwork to be signed by the customer to keep the dealers on the straight and narrow. So be prepared.

A Big Sale:

We will advertise select cars to promote a sale event. We use what we call an Ad Car. An Ad Car is a stripped down version, possibly stick shift, cranks windows, no frills, so we can advertise an unusually low sale price that will drive traffic into the dealership. When we advertise these cars we use a stock number in the ad to make it legal. By law we must have the advertised vehicle available for sale.

Once the customer is there to see the ad car and finds out that it is something they don't want, there is a good chance they will still buy a car if they are handled properly. You see 80% of the customers that come on the lot to buy a car will usually buy one within 3 days from my dealership or some other dealer.

When you see advertisements for a car dealer you may see some eye-catching specials or claims such as 0% financing, large rebates or very low lease payments. In those statements or graphics you will see an asterick (*). When you see the asterick there will be another very small asterick somewhere else on the page with the details of these offers. The details or disclaimers have to be there, such as 0% financing with 1/2 down for 24 months, or only on certain models that will not sell. Any large rebates are usually on the very expensive loaded up models and low lease payments usually have a disclaimer of $3,000 down plus taxes, title and license.

Newbies and Big Sale:

When a Newbie starts on the sales floor and we have a Big Sale the newbie will ask what we do in regards to the sale. The answer is NOTHING. It is business as usual, we do not do anything different.

Good Luck and Beware of the Big Sale
